Google said on the 9th that it released the "Top 12 best use cases of Gemini for college students," directly discovered by the Google Student Ambassador, and successfully wrapped up the program with a completion ceremony.
The use cases were selected from 125 ideas discovered by about 340 ambassadors from 34 universities nationwide, choosing the 12 most useful ones across four categories: academics, career, daily life and hobbies.
In the academics category, examples included quickly creating presentation slides with Gemini Canvas and using Gemini Live for recommending famous lines from overseas animations and for foreign-language pronunciation correction and conversation practice.
In the career category, examples included a self-introduction letter feedback app made with Gemini Canvas and mock interview practice using the artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Gems.
In the daily life category, popular uses included creating concept photos of pets with the image generation model Nano Banana Pro and making patterns for "my own doll keyring."
In the hobbies category, examples included a Gemini Live docent feature that provides instant explanations when you point it at cultural assets during a museum visit, and creating a travel plan that integrates travel itineraries, household budget books and shopping lists.
Meanwhile, Google held a completion ceremony on the 4th and shared activity outcomes with about 340 ambassadors. Participants, under the name "#TeamGemini," discovered various Gemini use cases and helped promote a one-year free benefit for the Google AI Pro plan for college and graduate students.
YouTuber "Mimiminu" attended the event and presented awards to outstanding students.
A Google official said, "We confirmed the potential for students to use artificial intelligence (AI) as a growth partner in academics and daily life," adding, "We will continue to actively support more students in experiencing the latest AI."
