Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) said on the 9th that, together with the Ministry of Science and ICT, it held the "2025 zero trust & integrated security summit" at the Peace & Park Convention in Seoul.

With the spread of artificial intelligence (AI)-based cyberattacks heightening the need to introduce new security frameworks, the summit brought together more than 200 experts from industry, academia, research and government to share development and demonstration results of zero trust and integrated security models and to discuss directions for future adoption.

The event featured the release of a zero trust maturity model guide, an introduction to verification results of integrated security models with participation from major domestic demand-side entities, and the first unveiling of an information security application programming interface (API) sharing platform.

A business and investment consultation session was also held as a side event, where 35 corporations and investment firms discussed a range of topics including technology cooperation and investment attraction.

Oh Jin-young, head of KISA's Information Security Industry Division, said, "We hope this summit will serve as an important opportunity to respond to changes in the era of artificial intelligence," and added, "We will support domestic security companies so they can take the lead and grow in new markets."
