Qualcomm said on the 7th that at the "Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovator Program Asia-Pacific (APAC) showcase" held in Seoul on the 5th, 15 startups from Korea, Japan and Singapore presented On-device AI solutions.
Participating corporations, including five Korean AI startups such as BanyaAI, MAUM.AI, MOTOV, SAGAK and SqueezeBits, unveiled solutions applying the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series processors, Snapdragon 8 Series mobile platforms and Qualcomm DragonWing platform to various fields including Robotics, healthcare and Smart City.
Qualcomm provided startups that took part in the six-month mentorship program with technical support and opportunities to use Qualcomm hardware development kits.
The showcase was attended by Kwon Oh-hyeong, Qualcomm APAC head, Vice Minister No Yong-seok of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and officials from the U.S. Embassy in Korea.
Kwon said, "Qualcomm is committed to helping startups move from the early stage to actual service deployment and to building the next-generation regional AI ecosystem."
Qualcomm plans to announce, through the upcoming "Qualcomm AI Innovator Program (QAIPI) 2026 APAC," support for platforms such as Arduino, an open-source hardware and software leading corporations it recently acquired, to be provided to startups.
