Krafton said on the 5th that it is recruiting the fourth cohort of the artificial intelligence (AI) talent development program "Krafton AI Fellowship."
The Krafton AI Fellowship is a scholarship program that Krafton has run since 2022 to cultivate core AI talent. Any undergraduate student at a university in Korea or abroad can apply. The selection process is as follows: ▲ document screening ▲ first-round online test ▲ second-round offline test and briefing ▲ third-round in-person oral interview, and each stage consists of top-level difficulty questions ranging from AI theory to applied technology. The document submission period runs from the 5th to the 22nd of this month, and the company plans to select about five finalists through a rigorous review.
Finalists will participate in the research internship program "Krafton AI Research Internship" run by Krafton AI from June to August 2026. During the internship, they will conduct research under the guidance of prominent faculty in the AI field in Korea and abroad and researchers at Krafton AI, and will write related papers. They will submit papers to major international conferences in Machine Learning, and if a paper is accepted with the participant as first author or co-first author, they will receive support for conference registration fees and expenses. In addition, all scholarship recipients will be paid a 10 million won research scholarship and will receive full-time employee-level pay during the internship.
Since its establishment in 2022, Krafton AI has continued research focused on five key AI areas—language models (LM), multimodal, Reinforcement Learning (RL), Generative AI, and data-driven AI—to enhance the intrinsic fun of games and improve the efficiency of game development. This year, it also published a total of 15 papers at NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR, the world's three leading AI conferences.
Over the past three years, scholarship recipients in the first through third cohorts of the Krafton AI Fellowship wrote a total of nine papers, six of which were published at ICML and ICLR. In particular, a paper with a second-cohort scholar as first author was selected as an ICLR Spotlight paper, earning global recognition for its unparalleled innovation.
