SK AX said on the 4th that it carried out a 2026 organizational restructuring and executive appointments. The company described the purpose of the restructuring as "structural alignment for the full-scale execution of the AI-based AX (AI Transformation) business model."
SK AX first proceeded with an AI-centered organizational redeployment. It created a CAIO (Chief AI Innovation Officer) position reporting directly to the CEO to oversee advanced AI technology research and on-site application, and introduced an "AX Product–Price–Offering" structure that manages product development, pricing, and proposals under a single system.
A "Growth Squad" was newly established to execute companywide key initiatives, and each institutional sector will be assigned a CoE (Center of Excellence) to carry out AX-related initiatives. The CAIO will oversee initiatives promoted by each institutional sector and take on the role of expanding the speed and scope of execution.
Matrix operations between the business organization and the service organization will also be reinforced. Through this, the company plans to expand its digital transformation experience secured in high-tech fields such as semiconductors to external manufacturing clients and refine the operating system for large-scale projects currently underway. It will also strengthen cooperation with overseas subsidiaries to seek new business opportunities in the United States, China, Japan, and elsewhere.
Executive appointments were made in line with the restructuring. Son Geon-il, head of the Enterprise Services institutional sector, was appointed CCO (Chief Client Officer) overseeing clients and the business as a whole. In addition, six new executives were selected.
An SK AX official said, "We will make 2026 the first year of executing the AX-based business model," adding, "We will build a structure in which technology, products, and services operate as a single value chain."
