Smilegate Hope Studio said on the 3rd that it successfully held the creative festival "Dream On Festa in Busan" on the 29th at Yellow Space in the Busan e-sports arena.
The event was organized to provide children with opportunities for creative activities and self-expression through a game content production program using artificial intelligence. About 60 people, including children and teenagers from eight community child centers in Busan and their teachers, attended.
The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency signed a social contribution memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hope Studio and joined as a co-organizer through direct and indirect support, including providing the e-sports arena as a venue. Smilegate Foundation Orange Planet alumni company Toonsquare joined with a special lecture and educational content on the theme of "creation using artificial intelligence."
The event consisted of programs including a special lecture on future careers, a creative workshop, a sharing session for works, and awards. Toonsquare CEO Lee Ho-young, who served as the special lecture speaker, shared various methods and examples for children and teenagers to use artificial intelligence programs to give shape to their imaginations under the theme of "in the age of artificial intelligence, new creative methods for content creators."
In the creative workshop, teenagers imagined virtual game scenes and characters based on artificial intelligence programs and completed them as images. At the sharing session, participants viewed each other's works and voted for teams that presented impressive pieces, including content stories and AI image generation.
Kwon Yeon-ju, a director at Hope Studio, said, "Hope Studio is a social problem-solving platform that spreads hope to future generations," adding, "We hope more public institutions and corporate partners will join the Hope Studio platform to help spread creative creation experiences so that teenagers in the local community can discover their interests and potential."
