LG Electronics said on the 2nd that SKS, the company's ultra-premium built-in appliance brand, took part as the only official sponsor among appliance brands at the Charleston Food & Wine Classic held recently in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Charleston Food & Wine Classic is a gourmet event where chefs, sommeliers, and other industry professionals from across the United States gather to hold more than 50 cooking demonstrations, seminars, and panel discussions.
The event is hosted by leading U.S. media outlets, including the food magazine Food & Wine, the travel magazine Travel + Leisure, and the lifestyle magazine Southern Living, and last year it was named No. 1 in the "new festival" category in the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, run by the national daily USA Today.
At this event, SKS set up a separate exhibition space, showcased a diverse lineup of built-in appliances, and promoted its brand philosophy of "putting authenticity into cooking." In particular, it exhibited the Pro Range, which features gas burners, induction, and sous vide functions, and a built-in oven equipped with a function that analyzes ingredients with an internal camera to recommend customized recipes. It also held a live cooking show and tasting event led by SKS executive chef Nick Ritchie using these products.
In addition, LG Electronics rebranded its ultra-premium built-in kitchen appliance brand Signature Kitchen Suite as SKS this year and is expanding its presence in the premium built-in appliance market.
Beyond SKS Seoul, it is operating permanent built-in appliance showrooms in the United States and Italy, and in June it participated as the only official sponsor among appliance brands at the Food & Wine Classic held in Aspen, Colorado.
