Qualcomm said on the 2nd that it has appointed Kim Sang-pyo, vice president at Qualcomm headquarters and vice president overseeing Korea operations, as president of Qualcomm Korea.
President Kim Sang-pyo takes office immediately and reports directly to Kwon Oh-hyung, head of Qualcomm APAC. Since joining in 2004, the new president has overseen Korea operations including domestic sales, business development, and marketing, and has led strategic direction across all business areas such as mobile, compute, XR, RFFE, connectivity, IE-IoT, and automotive. Based on experience and networks in Korea's technology industry, he strengthened key partnerships and built Qualcomm's growth foundation in Korea.
Kwon Oh-hyung, head of Qualcomm APAC, said, "President Kim has driven innovation with a deep understanding of the Korean market and outstanding leadership," and added, "Qualcomm Korea will deliver meaningful results in areas with significant growth potential, including Robotics and data centers."
