Naver Cloud said on the 1st that it launched "Naver Works AI Studio," which lets anyone build a work-optimized artificial intelligence (AI) assistant without experts. The company plans to keep adding Naver's AI technology to its work collaboration tool Naver Works and advance it into an AI collaboration platform.
Naver Works AI Studio is a tool that lets users easily create customized, work-focused AI assistants based on data from messages, boards, and more. Unlike general-purpose AI chatbots built on broad data, it features the ability to build AI optimized for real work by using in-house materials. For example, beyond assistants that directly help with tasks, such as "message search expert," which finds needed information right in Naver Works messages, and "weekly report master," which extracts key points to help craft tailored reports, users can also create a variety of creative assistants for smooth communication with colleagues, including "lunch menu recommendations" and "message-based MBTI analysis."
Naver Works' AI features were also greatly enhanced. In Mail, in addition to the existing draft generation and style transformation, functions such as sentence improvement, schedule and to-do recommendations, and reply suggestions were added. In Drive, features were added that summarize uploaded files without extra steps or translate in-file content directly into English, Japanese, or Chinese.
According to Fuji Chimera Research Institute, Naver Works has ranked No. 1 in Japan's paid business chat market for eight consecutive years. It has 590,000 global corporate customers and more than 5.8 million users.
Naver Cloud plans to keep adding AI features to Naver Works and advance it as a collaboration tool that helps boost work productivity.
