LG Uplus said it held a board meeting on the 27th in the morning and carried out executive appointments, promoting three to executive vice president, one to senior vice president, and newly appointing seven managing directors.
This round of appointments put "AX" at the forefront to drive mid- to long-term growth. In particular, the company focused on appointing talent who can steer growth in future core businesses such as AICC (AI contact center), AIDC (AI data center), and the AI call app "ixi-O," and on strengthening fundamentals to enhance competitiveness in the core telecommunications business and support solid growth.
Kwon Yong-hyeon, the current head of the business division who oversees the fixed and mobile B2B (business-to-business) telecommunications business and is leading changes and growth in an AI-centered B2B business portfolio including AICC (AI contact center) and AIDC (AI data center), was promoted to executive vice president, and in technology, Jeong Seong-gwon, the current head of the IT and Platform Build Group, an expert in MSA (microservices architecture) who is leading service innovation based on outstanding software capabilities, was promoted to senior vice president. In addition, Yeo Myeong-hui, the current chief financial officer (CFO) and chief risk officer (CRO) who leads finance and risk management, and Yang Hyo-seok, the current chief human resources officer (CHO) who oversees overall HR and labor-management cooperation, were each promoted to executive vice president.
