KT said on the 26th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 25th with DigitalBridge, a global digital infrastructure investment corporations, for an AI data center business.
The cooperation aims to respond to the expected surge in demand for AI data centers in the Asia-Pacific region, and the two companies will work together to build AI data center infrastructure in Korea. DigitalBridge manages about $108 billion in asset and has recently expanded into AI and cloud infrastructure.
Through the agreement, KT and DigitalBridge plan to cooperate in various areas, including ▲ joint development of AI data centers in Korea ▲ collaboration on overseas data center businesses ▲ sharing of data center ESG technologies. In particular, they will work together across the entire process from data center design to operation and will jointly conduct market research to identify overseas business opportunities.
