A survey of the transportation applications (apps) most used by Koreans found that Naver Map ranked No. 1 among people in their 20s, while T map took the top spot among those in their 30s and older.
Wiseapp Retail, a real-time app and payment data analysis solution, announced on the 26th the results of its survey on the average number of executions per person by age group for major transportation-related apps.
A sample survey of Korean smartphone users (Android + iPhone operating system (iOS)) found that from January to October this year, the transportation apps with the highest average executions per person were: ▲ under 20 Kakao Bus (65.9 times) ▲ 20s Naver Map (119.3 times) ▲ 30s T map (100.2 times) ▲ 40s and 50s T map (102.3 times) ▲ 60 and older T map (70 times). The No. 2 apps by age group were: ▲ under 20 Kakao Map (44.3 times) ▲ 20s T map (88.7 times) ▲ 30s Naver Map (85.6 times) ▲ 40s and 50s Kakao Bus (64.6 times) ▲ 60 and older KORAIL Talk (43.8 times), was found.
Meanwhile, in October the most-used transportation app category in Korea was "map," with a usage rate of 74.3%. It was followed by public transportation (32.2%), navigation (28.2%), and taxi-hailing (26.8%).
