Tencent said on the 26th that it will launch the HunYuan 3D engine globally, providing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based three-dimensional (3D) modeling tool.
With this launch, users can generate high-quality 3D content using only multimodal inputs—such as text descriptions, images, and sketches—that use various information including text, sound, and images for machine input and output.
In addition, Tencent Cloud, Tencent's cloud institutional sector, will offer the HunYuan 3D model application programming interface (API—a consolidation between computers or software) to corporate customers. Corporations can easily integrate advanced 3D capabilities into various workflows, including game development, e-commerce promotions, video special effects, advertising production, content production, and 3D printing.
HunYuan 3D is a Generative AI large model developed in-house by Tencent, and since it was released as an open-source model in Nov. last year, it has recorded more than 3 million cumulative community downloads.
