IGLOO Corp. said on the 25th that it has obtained two new patents related to cloud security and Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR).
IGLOO Corp. plans to apply the newly secured patented technologies to hybrid extended detection and response (XDR) to advance its core strategy of an "autonomous security operations center." Through this, the company aims to enhance security visibility across complex information technology (IT) environments and strengthen its capabilities for proactive automated threat response.
The first patent is a technology for "an electronic device and method for providing visualization information related to network structure for cloud service monitoring." The patent focuses on automatically analyzing and collecting complex network structures in cloud environments and providing them as intuitive visualization information. This enables security personnel to move beyond the limitations of list-based monitoring, grasp complex infrastructure configurations at a glance, and respond quickly to security threats and failures. In particular, it can also be applied to security-grade (C·S·O) hierarchies based on the National Network Security Framework (N2SF).
The second patent is a technology that maximizes SOAR operational efficiency, concerning "a customized security response server by subordinate organization for each threat intelligence and its security response method and program." The technology separates the roles of SOARs deployed at upper and lower organizations and analyzes each organization's environment and threat characteristics to deliver optimized, customized SOAR automated response even to subordinate organizations with limited personnel, such as a "one-person monitoring environment." This is expected to improve the accuracy of security response for public institutions and corporations and enhance the efficiency and reliability of security operations.
