Kolon Benit said on the 24th that it has completed internalizing the selective data migration technology, the core technology of global software corporations EPI-USE Labs, and is applying it to client SAP system environments.
Based on this technology, Kolon Benit is currently carrying out the transition of the human resources management system of a leading food corporations in Korea. The project that Kolon Benit is working on to upgrade the existing SAP HCM (human capital management) on-premise system to an S/4HANA PCE (private cloud edition) environment is expected to be successfully completed within the year.
This outcome is the fruit of the technology collaboration pursued under a partnership Kolon Benit signed with EPI-USE Labs last year, and with this, Kolon Benit has been recognized for the efficiency and stability of its SAP S/4HANA transition projects.
Through the internalization of EPI-USE Labs' selective data migration technology, Kolon Benit completed an automated framework that can selectively migrate, verify, and track only the necessary data during the SAP S/4HANA transition. Kolon Benit secured in-house capability for quality assurance in transitions to the SAP S/4HANA PCE environment and sharply reduced project timelines and migration error rates.
In the process, Kolon Benit used a solution called Data Sync Manager, EPI-USE Labs' own software that has completed SAP certification. The software minimizes business instability that can occur during SAP S/4HANA transition work because it includes a function that selectively extracts only non-personally identifiable information (PII) data. This function thoroughly protects personally identifiable information (PII) during migration tasks that include HR and payroll data containing sensitive personal information.
Kolon Benit plans to expand the scope of applying this selective data migration technology to corporations pursuing SAP S/4HANA transitions. Demand is expected to be high among corporations that operate multiple legal entities or have complex ERP systems due to M&A, because applying this technology streamlines complex ERP system landscapes through data-centric optimization and further boosts the effect of reducing cloud subscription fees.
