On the evening of the 18th, ChatGPT, X, and a number of other online services were temporarily down.
The outage was caused by a network failure at web infrastructure corporations Cloudflare, and service has now resumed as Cloudflare carried out recovery work.
It was reported that services including the Korean spelling checker "Bareun Hangeul," OpenAI's "ChatGPT," the music platform "Spotify," and the game "League of Legends" experienced connection errors.
When attempting to access these websites, the message "To continue, please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com" appeared.
As the network failure occurred, Cloudflare said it was "fixing the issue" and was "working to restore service."
Some services, including Bareun Hangeul, said in notices that "the connection issues caused by a Cloudflare service error have been resolved, and all services are now available as normal."
However, as the system has not fully stabilized, access may still be intermittently delayed or result in errors. Each service added, "If your use is not smooth, please try again after a while."
