Thirty-three people completed applications for the next KT CEO.
KT's Director Candidate Recommendation Committee said on the 18th that, as a result of the open recruitment for CEO candidates held from the 4th to 6 p.m. on the 16th, a total pool of 33 candidates, including in-house candidates and those recommended by professional institutions, has been formed.
The Director Candidate Recommendation Committee said it plans to operate a selection advisory panel composed of outside experts in fields such as corporations management, industry, and leadership/communication to strengthen the objectivity and expertise of the CEO candidate review.
The selection advisory panel will deliver its document review opinions on the in-house and external CEO candidate pool to the committee, and the committee plans to use them as reference to narrow down the CEO candidates. The Director Candidate Recommendation Committee said, "To ensure fairness in the evaluation, the specific composition of the selection advisory panel will remain undisclosed."
The Director Candidate Recommendation Committee will conduct document and interview evaluations of the newly formed CEO candidate pool, select one final candidate within the year, and report to the board of directors.
Based on the committee's review results, the board of directors will finalize one candidate to recommend to the general meeting of shareholders, and that candidate is scheduled to be finally appointed as the new CEO at the regular general meeting of shareholders in 2026.
