NHN said on the 17th that the collection RPG (role-playing game) "Abyssdia" will take part in AGF 2025, the country's largest comprehensive animation and game festival.
Released first in Japan on Aug. 20, "Abyssdia" is a collection RPG that tells the story of the black space "Abyss Slit," which contaminates the world, and the beings with a special ability to purify it, the "Tuner." On its Japan launch day, it ranked No. 1 in the App Store's free game chart.
At this AGF booth, "Abyssdia" plans a variety of programs to bring the enthusiasm of the fandom first built in Japan to domestic users. So that users can naturally empathize with and connect to the world of "Abyssdia," the programs were designed around the worldbuilding, characters, and original soundtrack (OST). Visitors can experience a "DJing stage" that showcases the game's music and content at a glance, a "Abyssdia" OST performance by VTubers (virtual YouTubers), and an "Abyssdia character autograph session" with popular cosplayers.
Kim Sang-ho, head of NHN's game business division, said, "Abyssdia is building a special subculture sensibility as music and its own fandom come together," adding, "Starting with our first meeting with domestic users at AGF 2025, we will do our best to deliver the unique emotion of 'Abyssdia' in the global market as well."
