Samsung Electronics said on the 16th it opened an "Odyssey Game Station" pop-up experience space, offering various benefits and gaming experiences.
The experience space will operate at Seoul Parnas Mall from the 15th to the 23rd, and at Starfield Suwon in Gyeonggi Province from the 29th to Dec. 7. Visitors can try games on Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors and the latest Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung Electronics is operating the experience space in sections for "Odyssey organic light-emitting diode (OLED)" G9, G8, and G6. At the G9 zone, visitors can enjoy Electronic Arts Inc.'s soccer game "EA Sports FC 26" with an ultra-wide 32:9 field of view. This product's screen ratio is twice as large as the conventional 16:9.
At the G8 zone, visitors can enjoy the simulation game "The Sims 4" and the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Mabinogi Mobile." This product features built-in "glare free." It also delivers clear picture quality even in dark scenes with high-contrast "True Black" technology.
At the G6 zone, visitors can play the shooting games Blizzard's "Overwatch 2" and Nexon's "Sudden Attack." With an ultra-high refresh rate of 500 hertz (Hz), users can enjoy smooth and natural gameplay. Refresh rate refers to the number of images a monitor can display in one second.
Samsung Electronics also prepared experience zones for the "Galaxy Z Fold7" and "Galaxy S25 Ultra." Here, it focuses on introducing "ray tracing" technology, which renders realistic lighting, reflections, and shadow effects. Visitors can also enjoy Nexon's mobile game "KartRider Rush+" with the three-dimensional (3D) graphics application programming interface "Vulkan" applied.
Among Odyssey Game Station visitors, test-takers who bring this year's College Scholastic Ability Test admission ticket can use a "fast track for test-takers" to try the experience without waiting. Test-takers also receive one additional on-site lucky draw opportunity that offers keycap keyrings, stickers, wireless chargers, and more. In addition, through a visitor-verification social media (SNS) event, a total of six people will be selected to receive two "Odyssey OLED G6" units, two "Moving Style Edge" units, and two gaming keyboards.
