Supercell said on the 10th that the real-time mobile shooting game Brawl Stars has unveiled Brawl Pass season 44, "Stranger Things," in collaboration with the Netflix original series Stranger Things.
This season adds the mythic brawler Gigi, as well as a new mode based on the Stranger Things universe, limited-time collaboration skins, and an event shop.
Through this collaboration, six skins were revealed: Eleven Rumi, Eddie Draco, Hopper Bull, Will Gus, Scoops Ahoy Berry, and Dustin Nita, and chroma versions were also released for the Rumi and Nita skins.
The new event mode "Upside-Down Showdown" is a roguelite survival mode in which 10 players compete simultaneously, with players choosing their own card decks and progressing through five stages. In the co-op boss battle mode "Hawkins Hunt," three players form a team to face bosses such as "Vecna" and "Demogorgon."
Players can collect the event currency "waffles" to open collaboration card packs that grant brawler card decks, and by meeting certain conditions can obtain the limited skin "Dustin Nita" and a limited collaboration spray.
The new brawler Gigi is an assassin class with a combat style that uses area-of-effect spinning attacks and teleportation. The Hypercharge system has been adjusted to 5%, 5%, and 20% for damage, shield, and movement speed bonuses, respectively, with 23 brawlers buffed and 10 nerfed.
A Supercell official said, "With this update, we wanted to combine the world of Brawl Stars with the feel of 'Stranger Things' to deliver new fun," and added, "We hope players will have a fresh experience this winter season through a variety of new content."
