Coontec said on the 10th that it strengthened its push into the Japanese market by consecutively participating in the "Automotive World 2025 series" held at Makuhari Messe in September and Port Messe Nagoya in October. Coontec also took part in the Tokyo exhibition in February.
At this exhibition, Coontec expanded its foundation for technical cooperation with Japanese automakers and parts companies, focusing on its Level 4 virtualization solution "FastVLabs."
The "Automotive World 2025 series" is an exhibition where global automakers, parts corporations, and software corporations share future mobility technologies. Coontec unveiled "FastVLabs," a full virtualization platform for embedded hardware, and introduced technology that enhances the development efficiency of software defined vehicles (SDV).
"FastVLabs" is a Level 4 (full virtualization) ECU development and verification platform that allows developers to run and verify embedded target binaries as is on their PCs without physical hardware. It supports a range of SoC architectures including ARM, PowerPC, and TriCore, and reduces development time and expense through a high-precision virtualization environment based on Digital Twin and automated testing integrated with CI/CD. The test automation rate is up to 70%, according to the company.
At this exhibition, the Coontec booth drew strong interest from officials at Japanese automakers and parts companies. Inquiries continued about high-precision verification functions such as real-time fault injection, record & replay, and performance metric visualization.
Bang Hyeok-jun, head of Coontec, said, "Through this exhibition, we confirmed the technological competitiveness and potential applications of 'FastVLabs' in the Japanese market," and added, "We will develop it into a virtualization platform that can lead the digital transformation of the automotive industry and strengthen our position in the global market."
