ITCEN CLOY insists expanding its sports IT business.
On the 10th, ITCEN CLOY said it will strengthen its partnership with Bornan Sports Technology (hereinafter Bornan), the International University Sports Federation (FISU)'s information technology (IT) partner, using the build-out of the Games Information Management System (GIMS) for the "2027 Chungcheong Summer Universiade" as a springboard.
Previously, ITCEN CLOY was selected as the contractor to build the Games Information Management System for the "2027 Chungcheong Summer Universiade," and this time met with Bornan officials to discuss cooperation plans for the event's success.
ITCEN CLOY has taken part in major international sports events at home and abroad over 39 years, including the 1986 Seoul Asian Games, the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the 1997 Muju–Jeonju Winter Universiade, the 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade, the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Based on this experience, the company is building the Chungcheong Summer Universiade's GIMS on a Cloud-Native foundation for the first time among large-scale international events in Korea.
In this project, ITCEN CLOY will be responsible, together with Bornan, FISU's technology partner, for building and operating a state-of-the-art Games Information Management System. A company official said, "As an advanced managed service provider (MSP) for cloud, we will guarantee uninterrupted, failure-free service."
Bornan is a corporations with business sites in Switzerland, Qatar and Spain, and as an official sponsor of international sports bodies such as the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Panam Sports, in addition to FISU, it has successfully built games management systems for numerous multi-sport events.
ITCEN CLOY recently launched "CENSPO," a software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based sports solution, and is targeting the Southeast Asian market, including Indonesia and Thailand. With this visit by FISU and Bornan as an opportunity, the company plans to expand its market to various global university sports events, including the summer and winter Universiades held every two years under FISU.
