KT, led by the play of "Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong, took set 2 and reset the League of Legends World Championship final. It was a match where their focus did not waver after dropping set 1 and their teamfight execution shone.
On Nov. 9 at Dong'anhu Sports Park in Chengdu, China, in set 2 of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship final, kt Rolster seized the initiative against T1 from the start and held the upper hand in every fight to level the series at 1-1.
KT, on blue side, selected Rek'Sai–Vi–Mell–Ezreal–Neeko, while T1, on red side, chose Sion–Jarvan IV–Sylas–Sivir–Lulu. Early in the game, "Cuzz" Mun U-chan's Vi (a melee skirmishing jungler) ganked bottom (the bottom lane) to pick off "Gumayusi" Lee Min-hyeong's Sivir for first blood (the first kill of the game).
KT then added more kills in a mid (center lane) skirmish with "Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong's Mell leading the way, and fully seized the early flow by taking down T1's "Oner" Mun Hyeon-jun and "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok in a fight near top (the top lane). Securing the Rift Herald (a neutral objective that helps attack turrets) as well, KT opened an early global gold (resources) lead by the thousands and kept up a stable game plan.
T1 counterattacked. "Oner" Mun Hyeon-jun's Jarvan and "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok's Sylas combined to pick off "Cuzz" Mun U-chan and turn the teamfight in their favor. But KT quickly regrouped and reclaimed control in the next skirmish. "Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong's Mell landed the ultimate precisely to neutralize T1's key damage dealer, and KT scored three kills in the fight while securing both Atakan (a neutral boss monster that grants a powerful combat buff) and the dragon (an objective that enhances stats).
From there, KT widened the gap with flawless macro. After taking the third dragon, they also slew Baron (a boss monster that greatly boosts the team's combat power), pushing the gold lead past 10,000. Empowered by Baron, KT kept up lane pressure and broke through T1's defenses one by one.
The decisive moment came around the 37-minute mark in a fight near dragon. With the explosive firepower of a fed "Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong, KT completely collapsed T1's front line and secured dragon soul (a persistent stat-boost effect). At 40 minutes, they picked off "Doran" Choi Hyeon-jun's Sion and took another Baron to cement their advantage.
KT used the Baron buff to pressure mid and top simultaneously, and in the final teamfight, they punched through T1's defense and destroyed the nexus (the core structure of the enemy base; destroying it wins the game). By taking set 2, KT tied the series at 1-1 and reset the contest.
"Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong anchored the team in every fight with Mell through decisive damage and positioning, leading them to victory. With far steadier game management, KT restored balance and turned the Worlds title race into an unpredictable dogfight.
