T1 pulled off a comeback on the brink. Leaning on overwhelming object (major in-game objective) control and the seasoned game management of "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok, they took game 4 of the final and dragged the League of Legends World Championship final to a decisive game 5.
On Nov. 9 at Dong'anhu Sports Park in Chengdu, China, in game 4 of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) final, T1 showed flawless macro and focus against kt Rolster to even the series at 2-2.
From blue side, T1 chose Gragas–Nocturne–Anivia–Kalista–Renata, while kt Rolster, from red side, picked Mordekaiser–Trundle–Cassiopeia–Caitlyn–Tahm Kench. Early on, kt Rolster recorded first blood (the first kill of the game) as "Cuzz" Moon Woo-chan's Trundle caught "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok's Anivia, but T1 set the stage for a counterattack when "Oner" Moon Hyeon-jun's Nocturne stole the dragon (an objective that boosts team stats).
After securing the Rift Herald (a neutral objective that helps attack turrets), T1 seized control of the objective fights. kt Rolster attempted a dive in bot (the bottom lane), but T1 blocked it with composed defense, and in mid (the center lane), "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok's Anivia perfectly led the skirmishes with Ice Wall and area-of-effect skills to swing the momentum.
In a mid-game dragon fight, "Bdd" Gwak Bo-seong's Cassiopeia landed the ultimate in an effort to change the tide, but "Oner" Moon Hyeon-jun again succeeded in a dragon steal, giving T1 three stacks.
Later, kt Rolster went for Atakan (a neutral boss monster that grants a powerful combat buff), but "Keria" Ryu Min-seok's Renata collapsed kt Rolster's formation with the ultimate, and T1 secured Atakan. Even after the fight, T1 widened their control as "Faker"'s Anivia led the follow-up engagements with flawless positioning.
The final turning point was the fourth dragon fight. "Oner" Moon Hyeon-jun secured the dragon soul (a sustained enhancement effect) with a steal, and "Gumayusi" Lee Min-hyeong's Kalista finished the fight, completely breaking kt Rolster's front line.
T1 immediately slew Baron (a boss monster that greatly boosts the team's overall combat power), pushed the lanes, and destroyed kt Rolster's turrets one by one. Around the 29-minute mark, in the final fight, "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok's Anivia cut off the retreat with Ice Wall, and T1 took down kt Rolster's key members before shattering the nexus (the core structure of the enemy base; destroying it results in victory).
With this, T1 tied the series 2-2 and sent the final to a decisive game 5. "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok steadied the team with savvy game management, and "Oner" Moon Hyeon-jun laid the groundwork for victory with back-to-back steals of dragon and Atakan. The nerve-racking deadlock between kt Rolster and T1 now heads to just one game, the final showdown.
