LG Electronics said on the 9th that it held a "cooperation council workshop" with partner company heads at LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, on the 7th and discussed win-win cooperation plans to respond to the rapidly changing external environment.
At the workshop, CEO Cho Joo-wan, HS Business Division head Ryu Jae-cheol, MS Business Division head Park Hyeong-se, VS Business Division head Eun Seok-hyeon, ES Business Division head Lee Jae-seong, Production Technology Institute head Jeong Dae-hwa, and Global Operation Center head Wang Cheol-min, along with other LG Electronics executives and 83 partner company representatives, attended.
CEO Cho Joo-wan said, "Since partner companies are both family and customers of LG Electronics, let's respond to various challenges together and build a foundation for continued growth," expressing gratitude for the efforts of partner companies.
That day, LG Electronics and its partners shared cases where they created new business opportunities amid a rapidly changing business environment, including U.S. tariff burdens and intensifying competition in the global market. They also focused on discussing ways to expand the role of partner companies in line with the expansion of B2B (corporations-to-corporations transaction) business and strengthening of the volume-zone product lineup, as well as a "Global South" strategy to secure growth momentum in emerging markets.
The cooperation council said, "By working with LG Electronics to build smart factory solutions and platforms, we will strengthen manufacturing competitiveness such as quality improvement and productivity enhancement, and we will continue to expand research and development (R&D) to achieve qualitative growth together."
To strengthen win-win growth with partner companies, LG Electronics has held regular cooperation council general meetings and workshops every half-year since 2013, and it plans to continue various cooperation programs for shared growth with partner companies.
