With "Cuzz" Mun U-chan's Dr. Mundo at the forefront, KT completely dominated the third game of the finals, leaving just one step to the club's first Worlds title. It was a match where unwavering macro and perfect teamfight focus shined.
In the third game of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) finals held on the 9th at Dong'an Lake Sports Park in Chengdu, China, kt Rolster maintained control from the start against T1 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
T1, on blue side, picked Renekton–Viego–Viktor–Rell–Rakan, while KT, on red side, chose K'Sante–Dr. Mundo–Syndra–Corki–Alistar. T1 secured the first dragon (an objective that enhances team stats) early, but the flow shifted to KT afterward.
KT changed the momentum around 12 minutes in a dragon fight. "Bdd" Kwak Bo-sung's Syndra used the ultimate to take down "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok's Viktor for first blood (the game's first kill), then also shut down "Doran" Choi Hyeon-jun's Renekton to seize early control.
T1 tried to counter in mid (the center lane), but KT's formation did not waver. In the fight around the dragon pit, "Cuzz" Mun U-chan's Dr. Mundo perfectly fulfilled the tank role and held the line, and KT swept up four kills to win the teamfight in a landslide.
KT then kept the perfect tempo. In the third dragon fight, "Cuzz" Mun U-chan and "Perfect" Kim Ki-hun bought time on the front line to stabilize the skirmish, and they took Atakan (a neutral boss monster that grants a powerful combat buff) to widen the gap even further.
T1 tried to strike back around Baron (a boss monster that greatly boosts the team's combat power), but "Cuzz" Mun U-chan's Dr. Mundo tanked all of T1's damage with overwhelming sustain. T1 focused everything on Mundo but could not bring him down, and KT seized the moment to claim Baron.
With the Baron buff, KT ramped up lane pressure and took down T1's turrets one by one. In the final fight around 36 minutes, "Cuzz" Mun U-chan's Dr. Mundo completely took over the battle, and KT immediately pushed down mid and destroyed the nexus (the key structure in the enemy base; destroying it wins) to close out game 3.
On the day, "Cuzz" Mun U-chan served as KT's anchor with overwhelming durability and sustained fighting on Dr. Mundo. "Bdd" Kwak Bo-sung and "Deft" Seo Dae-gil also added steady firepower support.
With a 2-1 lead in the series, KT is one win away from its first Worlds title. All eyes are on whether T1 will succeed in a comeback in game 4 or KT will finally take the throne.
