The Korea Electronics Association (KEA) said on the 6th that it held a "free inspection of small appliances and boilers" event with 11 corporations, including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, at Hanbit Welfare Center in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province.
The event, jointly organized by the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA) and the local government of Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province, was attended by Gwak Eun-gyeong, standing executive director of the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA); Jang Gi-bong, vice governor of Eumseong; Hyeon Yeon-ho, head of the Job and Economy Division of Eumseong County; Lee Yeong-min, director of Hanbit Welfare Center; and Shin Seung-eop, vice chair of the Korea Consumer-Centered Corporations Association, among others. KEA, the Korea Consumer-Centered Corporations Association, the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association, the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority (K-Petro), the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF), and Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC) supported the event.
The 11 corporations set up mobile phone service vehicles and separate booths to provide free repairs for small appliances such as laptops, rice cookers, vacuum cleaners, and air purifiers, as well as medical device experiences, for consumers in vulnerable groups. They also made advance visits to senior welfare centers, orphanages, and welfare centers for people with disabilities to inspect and repair boilers and large appliances.
In addition, ▲ donation of goods to socially considerate groups residing in Eumseong County ▲ longevity photo shoots for seniors ▲ free inspection services by five domestic automobile brands ▲ education to prevent consumer damage for vulnerable groups and consumer damage counseling ▲ health assessments and medical device experiences for older adults ▲ door-to-door collection of small waste appliances gathered at the village level were also carried out.
