Samsung Electronics said on the 5th it will take part in the "2025 Smart Construction·Safety·Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expo," which runs through the 7th at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and, together with Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), unveil an AI home-based modular home solution.
The Samsung modular home solution is a SmartThings-based AI home solution optimized for modular construction, in which AI appliances, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, heating and cooling HVAC facilities, energy solutions, and ventilation systems are connected around SmartThings to optimize the indoor environment and improve energy efficiency.
Samsung Electronics built an AI home-based modular home solution with a 51-square-meter layout for one- to two-person households inside the LH exhibition area.
Visitors can experience the four core values that the AI home solution provides in a space composed of five areas—entryway, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and laundry room: ▲ ease and convenience (Ease) ▲ time and energy efficiency (Save) ▲ my and my family's health (Care) ▲ security and safety (Secure). Samsung Electronics plans to introduce the modular home solution in Korea through this collaborative exhibition and then expand the business at home and abroad.
Samsung Electronics previously unveiled the modular home solution for the first time with Samsung C&T at IFA 2025, Europe's largest home appliance exhibition, held in Germany on Sept.
Oh Juhyeon, head of the Public Housing Division at LH, said, "LH, which leads the modular housing market, and Samsung Electronics, which leads the AI appliance industry, jointly organized this exhibition," adding, "we will lead the modular market, the future residential environment, going forward."
Yang Hyesun, vice president of the DA Division at Samsung Electronics, said, "based on the smart modular home solution, we will deliver user-centered innovation and present a new paradigm for next-generation residential environments."
