NAVER said on the 4th that it has revamped the user experience (UX) of its group communication service Band.
According to NAVER, the update focused on a home redesign, enhanced navigation convenience, improvements to individual main homes, and stronger scheduling features.
First, NAVER Band merged the My Bands tab and the New Posts feed tab, which had been the existing Band home, into a single global main home so users can discover key content and messages.
With this overhaul, users can swipe left and right across My Bands at the top of the home to check the bands they belong to, and scroll to view the latest posts and content from the bands they joined.
At the top of the feed, a new-post alert banner shows how many updates from bands the user has not checked yet.
NAVER Band also reorganized the inside of each band into four tabs—Home, Posts, Schedule, and Photos—with the Home tab designed to bring key information together in one place.
In the Home tab, important items such as notices and attachments can be viewed at a glance.
In the main Posts tab, users can view only the posts uploaded by members, and the feed layout allows posts to be read easily by scrolling.
It also unveiled a new brand logo (BI) symbolizing Band's ambition to become the hub of gatherings worldwide. The new logo reflects the direction of a community that is "connected and growing together."
To mark this large-scale renewal, NAVER Band is holding an event through on the 5th of next month.
Those who create a new band will receive a sticker pack, and upon completing activity missions, NAVER Pay points worth up to 1 million won will be awarded to winners by drawing.
