Devsisters said on the 3rd that it has set Mar. 2026 as the global official release date for the new title Cookie Run: Oven Smash, which is being developed by development studio Press A.
Cookie Run: Oven Smash is a battle action game that combines the intuitive action play characteristic of the Cookie Run IP with real-time PvP (player-versus-player) elements. For the first time in the Cookie Run series, it is introducing an urban fantasy universe and is being developed as a key work in the IP expansion strategy.
In the mobile closed beta test (CBT) held in Apr., the diversity of combat modes, character-specific skill sets, and reversal elements through spell cards received positive reviews. Since then, the developers have focused on reflecting feedback to improve the completeness of the PvP system and content.
Devsisters plans to offer a more evolved real-time PvP experience in this title by greatly expanding new game modes and maximizing the unique action of Cookie characters. It also strengthened spatial interaction in the game to add user-to-user exchange and customization elements, enhancing the IP's competitiveness.
Before the official release, it will meet users for the first time at G-Star 2025 from the 13th to the 16th. At the Google Play exhibition booth, it will showcase a PC demo version that includes one new game mode and two Cookie characters, and will also hold influencer matches and user-participation PvP events.
Devsisters is also pursuing a chain synergy strategy with existing Cookie Run IP titles to ensure the success of Cookie Run: Oven Smash. Cookie Run: OvenBreak successfully wrapped up its 9th-anniversary esports tournament last month, and Cookie Run: Kingdom is heightening expectations with a new narrative development ahead of its 5th-anniversary update in Jan. next year. Through this, the company plans to sustain the Cookie Run fandom's interest and maximize the impact of the new release.
