NEOWIZ said on the 3rd that it signed a "slot software supply contract" with Kangwon Land.
This contract further advances the two companies' partnership that began with a "game content joint development agreement" in Aug. 2021. Beyond simple resource supply or division of functions, NEOWIZ will directly develop slot software using Kangwon Land's development platform and infrastructure, while Kangwon Land will handle hardware production and sales for casino placement, establishing an "integrated development" system as a key feature.
Under the contract, the intellectual property (IP) of offline slot machine software will belong to Kangwon Land, while the online slot game IP based on it will be owned by NEOWIZ and its subsidiary Massive Gaming. Through this collaboration, the two companies have established a joint development structure that improves development efficiency and allows quick responses to market changes, and they plan to unveil slot machines with world-class technological competitiveness.
Bae Tae-geun, co-CEO of NEOWIZ, said, "It is meaningful that we can advance our partnership to the next level based on the trust built with Kangwon Land since 2021," and added, "Through an integrated development partnership between the two companies, we will present innovative slot content that is recognized in the global market."
Meanwhile, NEOWIZ and Kangwon Land have continued to work together since signing the agreement in 2021. In 2022, NEOWIZ provided Kangwon Land with content resources such as graphics and sound for the popular slot game "Shinsu Manbok" from Pmang New Vegas, and in Apr. last year, the offline slot "Shinsu Manbok" was officially launched at the Kangwon Land casino.
