SOOP said on the 3rd that it will broadcast live, exclusively in Korea, the latest event of Japan's largest mixed martial arts promotion "RIZIN," titled "RIZIN LANDMARK 12."
The event will be held on Nov. 3 at Kobe Galleon Arena in Japan, and the Korean-language broadcast will be available only on the SOOP platform. The broadcast will feature commentator Kim Han-seul, a former Double G FC champion, and caster Hong Seok-hyun, who will deliver an immersive call.
"RIZIN" is the successor to "PRIDE FC," which sparked Japan's early-2000s fight boom, and is a mixed martial arts (MMA) organization representing Asia. This event will feature Japan's top fighters alongside Korea's Gi Won-bin and Lee Bo-mi, setting up a Korea-Japan clash and raising fans' expectations.
Gi Won-bin is a Veteran fighter who held titles in Japan's Shooto and DEEP, and has been active steadily on domestic and international stages such as Road FC and Double G. Women's atomweight fighter Lee Bo-mi has surged with a recent three-win streak and is drawing attention in the domestic and international fight scene.
SOOP will distribute this event through its official combat sports channel and plans to continue introducing the "RIZIN" series to Korean fight fans.
A SOOP official said, "We prepared a live broadcast so that domestic fight fans can enjoy events in Japan in real time," adding, "We will continue to broaden the base of combat sports culture through broadcasts of major overseas fight leagues and the production of original content."
