LG CNS said on the 3rd that it has begun a project to migrate the Indonesia-based Korindo (KORINDO) Group's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to the cloud-based SAP S/4 HANA.
This project is the first achievement in Southeast Asia since LG CNS joined SAP's Asia-Pacific Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative in Feb. as the first domestic corporations to do so this year.
The two companies recently signed a business contract at LG CNS's headquarters in Magok, Seoul. The signing was attended by Nae Han-shin, head of the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit at LG CNS (executive vice president), Moon Jin-seok, vice chairman of Korindo Group, and Kim Yong-seong, CIO.
Korindo Group is a leading local corporations headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, operating diverse businesses including palm oil, heavy industry, finance, logistics, wind power, and renewable energy.
Through this project, Korindo aims to shift its on-premise (installed) ERP to a cloud ERP to reduce the burden of infrastructure management and improve work efficiency by adopting global standard processes.
LG CNS provides full life-cycle services from ERP consulting to buildout, operations, and advancement, and supports corporations' work automation and efficiency through its "AX on ERP" strategy that applies AI technology to ERP systems.
Nae said, "Through this project, we will reliably support Korindo Group's business innovation and successfully lead global customers' cloud ERP transitions."
