Samsung Electro-Mechanics said on the 31st that it held a ceremony at its Busan business site to mark its 52nd anniversary.
About 300 executives and employees, including President Chang Duck-hyun, attended the event, and employees at the Suwon and Sejong business sites joined via a live broadcast.

In his commemorative address, Chang said, "While volatility in the business environment is growing as global economic uncertainty expands, the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) will be a new opportunity for our company," adding, "We will focus on technological differentiation in growth markets such as AI, electric vehicles, and servers."
Chang also said, "The Component Business Unit will pursue business expansion in high-value information technology (IT) markets and in automotive electronics and servers; the Package Solution Business Unit will focus on developing next-generation package substrate technologies for servers and AI accelerators; and the Optical Solution Business Unit will work to secure competitiveness to enter future growth markets such as automotive electronics and robots."
Chang urged, "Even amid the changes to come, let us leap forward as the 'best growth company' that changes the rules and landscape of the electronic components industry, based on relentless technological innovation and a strong business constitution."
