Jun Young-hyun, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, marked the 56th anniversary of Samsung Electronics' founding by stressing that the company "must return to basics and focus on the essence of technology and perfection in quality to restore fundamental competitiveness."
At the ceremony marking the 56th anniversary of its founding held at Suwon Digital City on the 31st, Vice Chairman Jun stated accordingly, "With uncertainty in internal and external conditions continuing, Samsung Electronics now stands at a critical inflection point." The ceremony, attended by Vice Chairman Jun, other executives, and about 400 employees, proceeded in the following order: long-service and model-employee awards, a celebratory performance, a founding-day address, and viewing of a commemorative video.
Vice Chairman Jun declared that Samsung Electronics will leap forward as an "AI Driven Company," innovating customer needs and the ecosystem through the fusion of its proprietary technological prowess and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Jun said, "AI is already breaking down the boundaries of industries and remaking the world," and emphasized, "Samsung Electronics must not be a company that follows that change but a company that leads AI innovation."
He added, "The company now stands at a new starting line for a bigger leap," and conveyed, "Let's take on new and bold challenges together with trust in one another and the strength of being together." Finally, Vice Chairman Jun emphasized establishing a culture of compliance at work and co-prosperity with society, and said the goal is to become "corporations respected for the best technology."
