On the 30th, LG Display said in its third-quarter earnings conference call, "There has been a change in supplier positions within the industry, and accordingly, shipments of watch panels have expanded. We expect our position in the premium wearable market to become even more solid," and added, "Annual shipment volume, sales, and profitability information are directly related to our customers, so it is difficult to discuss specifics. We will continue to generate stable results by maintaining our technological edge and our position as a leading supplier in smart watch panels."
LG Display is known to be exclusively supplying organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels for Apple Watch after Japan Display (JDI) exited the OLED business for smartwatches.
