Nexon said on the 29th that it has set Nov. 6 as the global official launch date for its new mobile idle role-playing game (RPG) MapleStory: Idle RPG, co-developed with AbleGames.
MapleStory: Idle RPG is a new mobile game based on Nexon's flagship intellectual property (IP) MapleStory, and is an idle RPG where anyone can easily and casually enjoy the fun of vertical growth.
Nexon will officially launch MapleStory: Idle RPG globally on Nov. 6 and open pre-downloads starting Nov. 5. Users who complete pre-registration will receive 3,000 red diamonds, which can be used to obtain weapons and companions, and four types of hat items for character customization. In addition, after launch, a commemorative event will be held where players can obtain various items by logging in and playing.
MapleStory: Idle RPG newly interprets characters and the universe familiar to MapleStory fans to deliver a different kind of fun, while offering idle RPG users a unique play experience that combines automatic growth elements with MapleStory's signature combat system.
Meanwhile, Nexon jointly developed the title with AbleGames, whose idle RPG development capabilities have been recognized, and successfully conducted a Public PlayTest in four countries, including Singapore and Australia, from May to July. Having recorded high return rates and positive user feedback during the test period, MapleStory: Idle RPG will meet players with a global official launch, including Korea, on Nov. 6.
