Nexon said on the 29th that it partnered with GS Retail to sell a new cup noodle product, "Yongsa Ramen," using the MapleStory IP at GS25 convenience stores nationwide.
"Yongsa Ramen" boasts an intense spiciness of up to 23,000 Scoville units, and the heat level can be adjusted step by step by adding a separate seasoning packet to the base beef broth. Depending on the amount of seasoning added, it is divided into four levels—Rare, Epic, Unique, and Legendary—characterized by expressing in flavor the in-game item grades.
In addition, "Yongsa Ramen" is available at the permanent PC bang near Gangnam Station in Seoul, "Maple Agit." Users can order "Make-it-my-way Topping Yongsa Ramen" with various add-ons such as cheese and egg, and during the opening event period, limited items include "Ribbon Pig Yongsa Ramen," devised by creator Segulja, and "Double-Legend Clean-Bowl Challenge Yongsa Ramen," which uses two seasoning packets.
Nexon is holding the "Double-Legend Clean-Bowl Challenge" as an opening event for "Maple Agit." It is a challenge event in which participants finish the spicy "Yongsa Ramen," and it is drawing a positive response for its unique concept and playful format.
More details about "Yongsa Ramen" and the event are available on the official MapleStory website.
