KT said on the 28th that it signed a business agreement in San Francisco with Kyndryl, a global information and communications technology (IT) infrastructure service corporations, to cooperate on artificial intelligence transformation (AX) business.
The two sides agreed to cooperate on ▲ entering regulated industries for AX and researching security architecture ▲ strengthening AX capabilities for KT executives and employees and promoting the modernization of KT's IT systems.
Kyndryl is an IT infrastructure service provider spun off from IBM's infrastructure services division in 2021. It currently provides advisory, implementation, and managed service capabilities to thousands of customers in more than 60 countries.
Through the agreement with Kyndryl, KT plans to provide differentiated AX services to B2B customers. The two sides plan to combine expertise in telecommunications and global business execution capabilities and jointly participate, as needs arise, in AX projects in regulated industries such as domestic finance and the public sector to be announced in the future.
The two sides plan to propose optimized AX services tailored to the regulations applied differently by each client. To that end, they will jointly research AI-, cloud-, and network-based security architecture to establish an IT environment customers can trust while simultaneously strengthening KT's security governance.
