Speakeasy Labs Korea, which operates the artificial intelligence (AI) English learning solution "Speak," said on the 27th that it won in the "Best AI Pioneer" institutional sector at the "2025 YouTube Works Awards Korea."
The YouTube Works Awards is a digital video advertising awards program conducted in partnership with the global marketing research firm Kantar, selecting brands that have achieved creative campaigns and tangible business results.
Speak delivered a message that mistakes in the English learning process are part of growth through the campaign "Make mistakes, you will open up." This campaign used an AI voice restored by learning 6,757 paragraphs based on 9 hours of the late Shin Hae-chul's actual voice, and was highly rated for authentically expressing the brand philosophy of "growth through mistakes."
It also featured a variety of models, including actor and YouTuber Moon Sang-hoon and fashion designer Milanonna, showing each person learning and achieving in English through Speak in their own environment. The campaign resonated widely by empathetically addressing Koreans' fear of learning English.
As a result, Speak achieved No. 1 in the English learning app industry as top-of-mind awareness (TOM) rose 182%, and brand search volume increased by more than 80% from a year earlier. It also ranked No. 1 on the Google Play education app popularity chart and recorded 5.54 million cumulative views for organic content.
Jeong Doo-hyeon, brand manager at Speakeasy Labs Korea, said, "This award recognizes the brand philosophy that 'it's okay to be wrong' and the responsible use of AI technology," adding, "We will continue to grow as a brand that helps learners speak English confidently without fearing mistakes."
