LG Electronics held the "Stanbyme Lover Challenge" to showcase the diverse versatility of the company's flagship portable screen product, Stanbyme 2. The event, an unconventional contest where customers competed in creative ways to use Stanbyme 2, took place on the 25th at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul.
LG Electronics said, "About 100 participants vividly showed off various appearances of 'true fans,' such as slinging Stanbyme 2 over their shoulders or laying it down," and noted, "Many participants with standout, quirky usage methods appeared."
In particular, the creativity of the winners selected through on-site citizen voting and judges' evaluations stood out. Song Byeong-jun, who received the grand prize, garnered a big response by decorating a Halloween party room using Stanbyme with props prepared together with his children. The "scene-stealer award" went to Gu Min-hee, who focused on practice by checking her golf swing in real time on Stanbyme through phone mirroring.
LG Stanbyme 2 is a new-concept portable screen that lets users easily separate the display from the stand with a single button and use it in various spaces, providing a differentiated user experience that allows them to enjoy content freely anywhere in the home. It features a 27-inch QHD high-resolution touch display and can be used for up to 4 hours without a power connection thanks to a high-capacity battery.
Jeong Su-jin, head of brand communications at the Korea sales division of LG Electronics, said, "This event showed that Stanbyme 2 goes beyond a simple product and is together with customers' lives," and added, "We will continue to expand communication with the YG generation through marketing focused on diverse customer experiences."
