The personal mobility (PM) sharing service "GCOO" said on the 24th that it will expand recruitment of partner franchise operators targeting small regional cities.
This recruitment will target about 60 small cities across four regions: Gangwon, Chungcheong, Honam, and Yeongnam. These are mainly places where the lack of public transit infrastructure within cities is expected to be supplemented by short-distance modes such as bicycles and kickboards. It is expected to expand new transportation infrastructure in the regions while also seeking a win-win effect.
GCOO is the industry's only shared PM brand that provides services in 17 metropolitan local governments nationwide. It has established an all-around support system in technology, operations, promotions, external cooperation, and complaint response so that partners can continue their business stably in any region.
First, in terms of technical support, it offers a full waiver of initial training fees and passes on device maintenance know-how through in-person training by top-tier industry experts and video materials. It also provides maintenance support through a specialized repair center and parts management services, operates full inspections before device shipment and procedures after repairs are completed, and has set up a warranty system that allows free replacement of parts if a defect occurs within one month of purchase.
On the operations side, a dedicated regional supervisor is assigned to closely support partners in maximizing revenue. Through analysis provided by in-house data experts, partners can learn the operational know-how of the No. 1 PM brand in Korea and check sales in real time through a transparent settlement system. It also provides overall external communications such as promotional materials to acquire customers and consultations with local governments, and a professional CS team responds directly to inconvenience reports via the customer center to handle complaints without complicated procedures. In addition, it offers practical expense reduction benefits such as waiving device communication fees and recommending region-specific models.
Oh Se-seok, head of strategy and marketing at GBike, said, "GCOO is more than a simple means of starting a business; it is a business item with public value that expands mobility rights in transportation-disadvantaged areas," adding, "We will actively support our partners so they can operate their businesses stably in mutual growth with their regions and grow together with headquarters."
