ATON said on the 22nd that, through a partnership with NongHyup mutual finance institutions' Digital Business Division, it will apply the artificial intelligence (AI)-based real-time phishing defense solution "Defenders" to the mobile banking app "NH Cock Bank."
The biggest strength of Defenders is its extensive risky URL detection performance that can cover social media (SNS). It detects malicious links in real time across various messenger channels, including text messages, KakaoTalk, Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp, and prevents voice phishing and smishing with a world-unique two-layer detection system that adds a pre-detection function when accessing malicious links through a browser.
Along with ATON's self-collected data, it combines malicious URLs based on the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Google, and global security specialist company databases, and detects even the latest phishing techniques through AI-based pattern analysis and proprietary patented technology. In addition, it introduces an innovative approach to protect digitally vulnerable groups through a real-time risk alert function among family members when a dangerous website is accessed on a family member's smartphone or a smishing text is received.
Defenders is a business-to-business service based on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform in an in-app method that can be immediately embedded in an existing app, and corporations can adopt it; it supports both iOS and Android. ATON is currently pushing to supply Defenders mainly to large financial institutions in Korea. Furthermore, it is seeking a full-fledged overseas expansion by discussing service adoption with local partners in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Japan, as well as in Europe.
