Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (KSIA) said on the 22nd that it will hold Semiconductor Exhibition (SEDEX) 2025, the country's largest semiconductor trade show, for three days through the 24th at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul.
This exhibition, under the theme "Beyond limits, consolidated innovation," features 230 companies operating 650 booths.
Samsung Electronics and SK hynix will showcase the actual High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) of the sixth generation, HBM4. In addition, Samsung Electronics will highlight its capabilities as a "total solution" provider in the AI era through a portfolio that spans system semiconductors and foundry (contract semiconductor manufacturing). SK hynix will also present a variety of next-generation AI memory beyond HBM, emphasizing its status as a "full-stack AI memory provider." Besides Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, domestic materials, parts, and equipment companies such as Wonik IPS, Jusung Engineering, and Dongjin Semichem Co. will also set up exhibition booths.
On the opening day, Song Jai-hyuk, president and chief technology officer (CTO) of Samsung Electronics and chair of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, will deliver a keynote speech on "Semiconductor innovation through synergy." Chung-Ang University distinguished professor Sung Yun-mo and Amkor Technology Korea CEO Lee Jin-an will also give keynote speeches.
On the 23rd, the second day, the "Semiconductor market outlook seminar," which will examine the semiconductor market and technology, as well as major countries' semiconductor policies, will be held. The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers will host the "Semiconductor academia-industry-research exchange workshop," sharing the latest foundry technology trends including AI semiconductor solutions and the outlook for AI application system technologies and markets. In addition, in line with the fall hiring season, a "Semiconductor talent recruitment fair" for job seekers will take place.
