Samsung Electronics said on the 22nd that it has equipped its 2025 TVs and monitors with Perplexity, the industry's first generative artificial intelligence (AI). Perplexity, an AI-based search engine, can provide optimal answers tailored to users' questions on a wide range of topics.
Models equipped with Perplexity include the 2025 Micro RGB (red, green, blue), Neo QLED, QLED, OLED (organic light-emitting diode), The Frame Pro, The Frame TV, and the 2025 M7, M8, and M9 monitors.
Users can launch Vision AI Companion by pressing the Apps tab on the TV or monitor screen or the AI button on the remote, then use the Perplexity app.
Users of Samsung TVs and monitors equipped with Perplexity will receive a 12-month free subscription to Perplexity Pro.
Samsung Electronics plans to add Perplexity to its 2023 and 2024 TVs and monitors through an operating system (OS) update within the year.
In January this year, Samsung Electronics first unveiled its personalized AI, Vision AI Companion, at CES, the world's largest electronics show, and said it would expand user-tailored screen experiences in collaboration with global AI corporations.
In August this year, it equipped the 2025 TVs and monitors with Microsoft's (MS) Copilot and, with the addition of Perplexity, plans to offer a variety of AI TV experiences.
