Artificial intelligence (AI) integrated security corporations Suprema said on the 21st that it will unveil its "AI face recognition-based search target detection solution," which applies its own sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) technology, at the "2025 Korea Police World Expo (Korea Police World Expo, KPEX)" to be held at Incheon Songdo Convensia from the 22nd to the 25th.
The solution being introduced is based on AI face authentication and video analysis algorithms independently developed by Suprema, and, for the first time in Korea, applies sovereign AI technology. It is designed to secure the golden time in the process of searching for missing persons and tracking suspects faced by the police and public institutions.
Suprema applied cross-recognition patented technology between heterogeneous images to accurately identify the same individual in various environments. Through this, it quickly analyzes vast video data and provides stable and highly reliable results.
In addition, through a GIS (geographic information system)-based smart search function, the movement path of the search target can be visually checked, and real-time location analysis improves the efficiency of on-site response. It also supports a multi-search function, enabling detection that uses not only faces but also attribute information such as clothing, hairstyle, shoes, and glasses, as well as vehicle information.
At the exhibition site, the process of searching for missing persons will be demonstrated in the form of a dashboard. When the police or search personnel enter the subject's basic information, the system analyzes real-time video data along with past recordings to detect and track the subject.
