Samsung Electronics on Oct. 17 (local time) held the 2025 Tech Forum in Silicon Valley, inviting global technology talent to share key business directions and research strategies. Marking its seventh year, the event took place at Samsung Research America (SRA) in Mountain View, Calif.
About 80 people attended the forum, including leader-level developers from global corporations and senior management from Samsung Electronics. From Samsung, acting head of the DX Division Roh Tae-Moon (president), Visual Display Business head Yong Seok-woo (president), DX Division CTO and Samsung Research head Jeon Kyung-hoon (president), and Global Marketing Office head Lee Won-jin (president) took part.
The theme of this year's forum was "ambient AI that blends naturally into everyday life." Ambient AI refers to artificial intelligence that operates seamlessly by sensing and judging situations in the surrounding environment even without user awareness. Executives from Samsung's business units presented and discussed future strategies focused on how AI technology can be integrated across products and services.
Kim Dae-hyun, head of the AI Center at Samsung Research, delivered a keynote speech on "agentic AI for autonomous goal completion." Kim emphasized that AI is evolving beyond simple command execution toward setting its own goals and solving problems.
Roh Tae-Moon said, "Samsung Electronics will leap forward as an 'AI-driven company' that makes the best use of AI, works with AI, and grows with AI," adding, "We will secure sustainable growth engines through fast and bold innovation." Roh continued, "Based on a DNA of challenge and innovation, we will sustain an organizational culture where ideas can be expressed freely and failure is not feared."
Samsung Electronics plans to continue networking events to strengthen exchanges with global talent and expand next-generation technology cooperation.
