Samsung Electronics' 2025 Micro RGB TV, The Frame Pro, and The Premiere 5 were named among TIME's "Best Inventions of 2025."
The Micro RGB TV was listed in consumer electronics, The Frame Pro in design, and The Premiere 5 in entertainment & gaming. The Samsung Micro RGB TV achieves higher color reproduction by applying an RGB color backlight that arrays micro-sized RGB (red, green, and blue) LEDs at an ultra-fine scale on a 115-inch large screen.
It achieved 100% BT2020 area coverage, a metric for measuring color accuracy established by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and received Micro RGB Precise Color certification from the German testing organization VDE.
The Frame Pro, a lifestyle TV, lets users enjoy a wide range of artworks such as paintings and photographs through the Art Store even when the power is off. With the wireless One Connect Box, it can be used cleanly without visible cables.
The Premiere 5, a 4K touchscreen projector, features a compact design and sharp picture quality.
TIME previously selected Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Flip5 and microplastic filter in 2023, and the Neo QLED 8K and frame-style speaker Music Frame in 2024, as Best Inventions of the year.
