NHN Dooray said on 15th that it is introducing "Dooray" as the smart collaboration service being pursued by the Ministry of National Defense and the Army, Navy and Air Force. NHN Dooray plans to gradually build the "Gukbang Ieum" smart collaboration system, which can be used in an integrated way by 300,000 personnel across the entire military, including the Ministry of National Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the three services.
The Ministry of National Defense introduced the cloud-based large-scale collaboration platform Dooray under the judgment that a more efficient smart collaboration system is needed to respond to troop reductions caused by population decline. The goal is to integrate work systems such as email and messenger, which were operated separately by each service, into one to create a swift and efficient defense administrative environment. Furthermore, to evolve into a more advanced Gukbang Ieum smart collaboration system, it is also actively considering the introduction of Dooray AI.
A strong level of security was cited as the reason NHN Dooray was selected. Dooray applies a multi-layered security system, including data encryption, access control, and two-factor authentication, to safely protect sensitive military information. Dooray integrates and provides messenger, email, projects (collaboration tools), drive, wiki, address book, calendar, and video conferencing. It supports handling dispersed tasks through a single window.
In particular, the introduction of projects, which can manage scattered tasks such as the real-time Dooray messenger and email in one place, has high satisfaction within the organization. Schedule management through a calendar that can be shared in real time, video conferencing that can be launched directly from messenger and calendar, and Dooray Drive, which makes it easy to share, edit, and deliver existing materials, also improve work productivity.
Dooray completed stability verification by operating a pilot service for 20,000 personnel within the Ministry of National Defense in Nov. last year. It is currently used by the entire Ministry of National Defense and the main commands of the three services, and the plan is to expand the scope so that 300,000 people can use it by 2026. Once adoption across the entire military is complete, Dooray will hold the largest project performance among domestic collaboration services.
