MongoDB said on the 14th that it has newly appointed Jang Jeong-uk as head of the Korea office.
Jang, the country head, led database business strategy as the Samsung Group business leader at Oracle Korea and served as the inaugural country head at Databricks. He then held positions as head of AWS Korea and as head of IBM Korea GTS.
Jang, the country head, plans to help domestic customers seize opportunities for innovation and growth through databases modernization and AI adoption in the rapidly changing era of artificial intelligence (AI). Jang said, "I am very pleased to be able to join in continued growth and innovation based on MongoDB's most modern and flexible data platform."
MongoDB has secured major corporations across various industries in the Korean market as clients, including LG Uplus, Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance, Syncly, and Dongwha Enterprise.
